1st Year OVERVIEW

This program is designed for the individual who desires a basic understanding of Biblical truths thereby leading him/her to the introduction of theological understanding. Students who complete this programme may thereafter proceed to the second level.

Requirements: Please note that an enrolment fee must be paid.  The Learner is required to complete the prescribed 10 courses with all assessments and any additional work that may be requested. Kindly note that the duration of the course is strictly one year. There will be no assignments for the first year course. There will be a graduation fee.

Outcomes: The student will be able to demonstrate his/her understanding of the fundamental truths.

2ND Year OVERVIEW

This level of study prepares the student to become an effective disciple of Jesus Christ. It also prepares the student towards gaining a deeper understanding of becoming fruitful. After completing the second year of study students can proceed to the third level of study.

Requirements: the Learner is required to complete the prescribed 20 courses inclusive of the first year study with all assessments and any additional work that maybe requested. Kindly note that this level is strictly a two year course.

A one page assignment is required.

Outcomes: After completion, the student will effectively demonstrate his/ her knowledge from this theological study and will be able to spread the Gospel and become an effective witness.

3RD & 4th Year OVERVIEW

This study focuses on the fundamental principles for Christian leadership. It is a two-year theological program designed to prepare students for a Christ-centred ministry. Students receive a sound knowledge of the Word of God in effectively operating as a servant leader in the ministry. In order to qualify for this level the student must be in a position of a matric pass or you can liaise accordingly.

Requirements: the student is required to complete the first two years before attempting the third year programme. S/he will be required to complete all assessments and any additional work that may be requested.

5th & 6th Year COURSE LIST

PRE-REQUISITES

Pastors and Leaders who have completed their Bachelor in Ministry degree with a percentage of 65% with TBCFN can register for this programme and those who have not studied with TBC but desire to enrol can do so provided that they have a Matric pass and Bachelor’s degree. All prospective students must complete the relevant documents pertaining to the study and either email or call personally at the TBCFN offices with the documents.  

 

PHASE ONE: MOTIVATION FOR CANDIDACY

 

A student must submit a two-page motivational letter stating his/her desire to register for this programme which must be attached to the official application form together with a certified copy of his/ her Bachelors certificate or an equivalent degree to the Dean for approval.

 

PHASE TWO: COURSES

 

A student is required to complete three core modules and three electives from the chosen field of study. When choosing the courses students are advised to prayerfully select the best programme that suites him or her.

PHASE THREE: THESIS PROPOSAL

 

The student is required to submit a 10 page proposal to the College which must clearly state the title that is to be researched, accompanied by a brief synopsis of what areas would be concentrated on and a brief summary of each chapter of the thesis. The student MUST include a list of books (Bibliography) that s/he would use for the research. A sample copy of the proposal has been included with the course modules.

 

PHASE FOUR: MASTERS THESIS

 

The thesis must not be less than 100 typed pages single spaced or 150 pages double spacing on topics approved by the college or you can choose your own topics pertaining to your electives. Please bind your thesis and hand it to the college. Students who require assistance in completing this task may call the office. A supervisor will be assigned to each student until the finalization of the thesis. This will be graded according to the requirements of the College in USA and only when the student has been notified in writing that s/he has fulfilled the requirements, a copy of the final thesis must be professionally bound in dark blue solid covers with gold lettering bearing the title details, name of the student on the front cover and along the spine, and submitted to the College together with the thesis saved on a CD.

DOCTORATE

7th & 8th Year COURSE LIST

PRE-REQUISITES

The admission to the Doctorate in Ministry degree is on the basis of the high competence of the one who possess a Masters and who attained a benchmark of 70% pass rate and who is able to demonstrate competence in fulfilling all the requirements. This is a programme which provides the opportunity for students to make a contribution by providing NEW KNOWLEDGE for the Kingdom of God. Pastors and Leaders who have completed their Masters degree with TBCFN can register and those who have not studied with TBCFN but desire to enrol can do so provided that they have a Master degree or an equivalent degree. All prospective students must complete the relevant documents pertaining to the study. Documents are available on request.  

 

 PHASE ONE: COURSES

 

A student is required to complete seven areas of specialization with a local church.

  1. Developing Discipleship in the Local Church
  2. Christian Education Development
  3. Cultural Studies for Evangelism
  4. Men/Women’s Ministry Development
  5. Developing a World Christian Perspective
  6. Counselling, Family Life and Pastoral Leadership
  7. Developing Leadership Potential in the Local Church.

 

PHASE TWO: PROPOSAL FOR STUDY

 

A student must submit a proposal 8-10 pages in length motivating his/her desired study. The student is required to submit proposal to the College which must clearly state the title that is to be researched, accompanied by a brief synopsis of the areas that would be covered and a brief summary of each chapter of the thesis. The proposal must be approved prior to the commencement of the study. The student MUST include a list of books (Bibliography) that s/he would use for the research. A sample proposal has been included with the course modules.

 

PHASE THREE: INTERNSHIP

 

Internship is one of the requirements for a student to attain his/her Doctoral Degree. The student must furnish the name of his/her mentor to the College as well as the proposed training programme for the completion of the internship. Students who are full-time pastors in a local church or ordained in the five-fold ministry office for more than FIVE years are exempted from the internship.

 

PHASE FOUR: DOCTORAL THESIS

 

The thesis must comprise of 250 pages double spaced on topics approved by the College or of your choice.  Students who require assistance in completing this task may call the office. A supervisor will be assigned to each student until the finalization of the thesis. The student must submit a spiral bound draft (two copies) to his/her supervisor. The draft copy must be ring- bounded and handed in personally or posted to the College. This will be graded according to the requirements of the College in USA and only when the student has been notified officially in writing that s/he has fulfilled the requirements. Two copies of the final thesis must be professionally bound in dark blue solid covers with gold lettering bearing the title details, name of the student on the front cover and along the spine, and submitted to the College together with the thesis saved on a CD in MS Word format. The student must not proceed with the solid cover binding until he/she is advised to do so by the supervisor via an official letter.
